The Role of Culture in Women’s and Men’s Interest, Persistence, and Success in Science and Engineering

We conduct NSF-funded research on women’s and men’s perceptions and experiences of supports and barriers to science and engineering (SE) education and careers in the U.S. and internationally, with attention also to first-generation-in-college status as well as ethnicity in interest, persistence and success in SE.
