Colorado’s increasingly STEM-based economy requires that students and adults develop STEM skills. Many organizations at the state and local level have created STEM initiatives and provide STEM education programming for diverse audiences to target these needs.
 

Association of Public and Land-grant Universities STEM Education Center Network

The APLU’s STEM Education Center network, funded through the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, is in their final year of bringing together STEM Centers around the country that are engaged with research and faculty activities around transforming undergraduate STEM teaching and learning. The CSU STEM Center was represented at APLU’s STEM Education Center Workshop, “Towards a National Network of University-based STEM Education Centers,” in November and will be one of more than 50 STEM Centers across the country that will be showcased on the APLU website.

Colorado STEM Education Roadmap and Action Plan

The Colorado Legacy Foundation is focused on preparing all Coloradans for success in Colorado’s 21st Century economy and community by improving science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education for every Coloradan, regardless of career path or background. The Colorado Legacy Foundation (CLF) is engaged in a three year project to improve STEM education and skills in Colorado through the development and implementation of a Colorado STEM Education Roadmap and Action Plan.

Colorado Department of Education STEM Hub

The Colorado Department of Education STEM website acts as a hub of STEM information and resources in Colorado to support the academic achievement of all students in Colorado. Much information is available for students, teachers, and the general public around STEM events, classroom resources, STEM-related news, and policy-related initiatives.
