07/29/2019 - 08/02/2019
Location: Colorado State University Campus
Event/Activity Description
Join us for another year of our middle school summer camp, E-CAMP!
This camp aims to connect youth entering grades 6-8 to the natural world through learner-led inquiry, hands-on and active exploration and fun in a community of peers.
This is the perfect camp for students who are interested in wildlife, the environment, and want to take action to protect and restore the natural areas they love. We will learn about wildlife by recording our wildlife observation both at the ELC and at the CSU Mountain Campus during our overnight visit. We will dive deeper into our study of ecosystems by exploring what keeps the environment healthy and how interactions between all living things helps our natural areas thrive. We will practice being good stewards of the ELC by taking action in a hands-on ecological restoration project with Wildlands Restoration Volunteers.
We will travel to the CSU Mountain Campus on Wednesday and return on Thursday. This overnight trip will include a day hike, wildlife ID, and evening campfire activities.
We have full and partial scholarships available for E-CAMP. Please request a scholarship before you register for E-CAMP. Registration for Summer 2019 E-CAMP will open at 6 am on January 16. Click here to register.
You will have the option either to pay for Summer E-CAMP online with a credit card at the time of registration, or to mail us a check after registering. Payment for Summer E-CAMP is due in full by May 1. If payment is not received by May 1, you will forgo your spot in the camp(s).
