The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow network (https://www.cocorahs.org/) is a citizen-science project where volunteers from all 50 states (and Canada) use low-cost equipment to measure and map precipitation from their backyard, workplace or school. Data are used by researchers, scientists and meteorologists all over the world.
