Caitlin Potter is a 5th-grade teacher at Kruse Elementary School in Poudre School District. Caitlin graduated from the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) in 2013 with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. She later obtained her M.A. in Educational Psychology from UNC in 2016. A teacher for almost a decade, she is experienced teaching 3rd through 5th grade. What she loves most about educating students at the intermediate level is the formation of meaningful student relationships during a critical time in their development. Caitlin helps students navigate this time in their adolescence through positive self-talk, analyzing and experiencing literature as a class, and cultivating a caring “5th Grade Family”. She has a distinct passion for and continues to refine her pedagogy by mentoring new teachers in their practice, as well as collaborating with other educators, parents, and the Fort Collins community. Caitlin is excited to partner with CSU to provide mutually beneficial opportunities for both students and researchers in our community.
