About
Dr. Sample McMeeking is the Executive Director of the STEM Center. She oversees the day-to-day activities in the STEM Center. Her focus over the next few years will be to move the STEM Center toward being the inward facing and outward reaching hub of STEM-related education, outreach, and research at CSU. As part of her work, she collaborates with faculty and staff at CSU and others outside of CSU to develop and implement high-quality research and evaluation in STEM education.
Her primary research focuses on STEM professional development at multiple levels, including preservice and inservice teachers, university undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty. Specifically, she is interested in understanding how professional development leads to changes in knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors in STEM, particularly with regards to instructional and professional practice.
